Couldn't load pickup availability
Pallet Flow Racks employ inclined roller lanes and gravity to move pallets from the load end to the pick face, ensuring first-in/first-out (FIFO) inventory rotation. Heavy-duty load-bearing wheels and dynamic speed controllers allow pallets to roll safely at a controlled pace. By eliminating multiple aisles and creating nearly solid blocks of inventory, flow racks optimize both floor and vertical space while maintaining independent access to each lane. This system is ideal for perishable goods, frozen storage and high-volume consumer products because it reduces handling time, energy consumption and the number of forklifts needed.
Pallet flow racks are high-density systems consisting of sloped channels fitted with rollers. Pallets placed on the high end roll to the picking side via gravity, eliminating intermediate aisles.
Advantages include maximum use of space, FIFO inventory management, separate loading and unloading aisles and quick pallet rotation. Very deep channels require a slope (about 4%) that may reduce available height.
Pallet flow racks operate on a FIFO basis with separate aisles and do not require forklifts to enter the structure. Drive-in racks are LIFO, and push-back racks operate on LIFO using nested carts.
Channels can hold up to about 30 pallets deep, and they are inclined at roughly 4%.
The beam length (space between uprights) should equal the pallet’s front dimension plus roughly 160 mm clearance (80 mm on each side).
No. Pallet flow racks use gravity and require no motors.
Any type of forklift is compatible. Flow racks may also be served by stacker cranes or partially automated systems.
This flow rack system is made to order and quoted based on load size, load weight, lane depth, flow method, facility layout, and destination. Shipping cost and lead time are confirmed with your quote. Components ship as industrial freight and may include frames, beams, flow lanes, rollers, rails, carts, guides, and hardware. A forklift or dock may be required. Installation should be completed by qualified installers using approved drawings, with proper leveling, anchoring, pitch, and flow testing.
